Synopsis: Pockets of Reality (Working Title)
Lily Caine is a twelve-year-old patient at the St. Dymphna's Psychiatric Hospital in Centre Hall, PA. During her time there she meets a strange being named Amduscias, who is trapped within the supernatural walls of the hospital. Lily agrees to help free her new friend, and goes through a journey that will change her forever.

“Are you sick?”
Amduscias grabbed the tray and emptied out the contents in the trash can. “No, not sick, just weakened. I don't live here by choice. And I'm sure that you weren't brought here by your own choice, either.” Lily didn't respond and instead began to eat the apple. The woman turned and smiled at the girl. “Do you like it?” she asked, setting the tray back where it was.
“Yes,” Lily said between bites, “it's delicious. Thank you.”
Amduscias patted Lily's head. “You're quite welcome, dear. If you need anything, anything at all, just let me know and I'll see if I can grant your wish.”
Lily looked up at the woman. “Are you an angel?”
A nervous laugh escaped the woman's lips. “Well, let's just say I'm not normal, but don't let that scare you. I'm your friend, Lily.”
The girl finished the apple and wiped her mouth on the hospital bed's blanket. “I don't really have any friends except for Olivia, and she's broken.”
“Well, you won't have to worry about me hurting you, little girl. I won't ever hurt you.” Amduscias held out her hand. “In fact, I'll wager that we can start this newfound friendship properly with a handshake. It's nice to meet you, Lily.”
Lily tilted her head, but shook her hand anyway. “It's nice to meet you, too, Amduscias.”
The woman looked over at the radio and then at the door. “I'm going to have to leave for a bit, Lily, but I'll see you again as soon as possible. Just listen for me.”
