Synopsis: Telling The Truth Is Not Love

It seems like I'm constantly writing about depression. Emily, my favorite character I've ever written (from my 2004 novel, the only one I ever finished, "Why Sleep When I'll Only Dream?"), suffered from a "beautiful," sad, poetic, clinical depression (described as "angelic" by those around her). But there's an ugly side of depression too for those whose temperment leans more into psychosis. This novel describes an "ugly" clinical depression through the eyes of someone institutionalized for depression and slight delusional paranoia describing a breakup with his ex-girlfriend. Thankfully it's not autobiographical en total but in many ways, only the names have been changed to protect the "innocent."
