Malia breathed a sigh of relief as she stood bolted to the spot where she stood outside the conference room in the hallway. She had been so afraid that someone would come out and she’d be discovered eavesdropping. She felt a cold chill run down her spine as the strange sensation that the man whose voice had come from the back of the room had somehow known she was there. But how? She thought.
