Synopsis:
Sequel to last year's NaNo, The Light Bringer. We've made some changes, so now it takes place in my own world instead of some strange version of Europe.
-Avi's sister Cady (her only family) has been Taken by the Lost Ones: vampires, demons, creatures of the Dark. (Anything that lives under your bed and has twelve eyes.)
This naturally doesn't work out, seeing as Avi has been appointed the new Daughter of Light, spreading goodness and blessings all throughout The Magical Land with a Weird Celtic-Sounding Name. She gets to travel to the Province of the Sugar Blood and have whatever fancy things she desires.
And more complications arise. Cady is in the care of (a now mortally wounded) ruthless old creeper vampire Lord Lucian. Lucian plans to Keep her for reasons only known to Creepers. Then she gets turned into a vampire (don't worry, there's no sparkling teenie vampires here.)
But the worst of all is Avi's love for Sinny (and Macayle and old dudes-she just can't decide), yet another vampire (not Macayle or the old dudes.)
But he's been hiding out, doing 'field work' to avoid be at The Big Shiny Headquarters. But the boss of The Big Shiny Headquarters found out what he was and kicked him out. Now he's being pulled apart by other vampires and having his love for Avi being squashed by the metaphorical boot of Rejection.
And there are more evil plots and enraged goddesses. Because this wouldn't be a Black Light novel without them :]
