Last year was my first attempt at NaNoWriMo, and I managed to make it about halfway before I hit epic fail stage. I wasn't surprised, since this happens to me about 80% of the time when I try to write. I start out with what seems like a fantastic idea, but before long I realize what utter crap I'm actually writing and throw in the towel in disgust. However, for the purposes of this event, I'm not supposed to let that stop me, so I'm going to try harder this year and push my way through it, no matter how awful my treacly fluff turns out to be. I just won't let anyone read it. EVER.
