Excerpt: The Latex Desert Which Trapped The Light

Suddenly the ground came to a halt, and the black spot left the wall, changing its shape until Anthony could just make out the silhouette of a horse, yet this thing was unlike any horse Anthony had seen when he made a stop on planet earth, it seemed to be no thicker then a piece of paper, yet it had such an incredible presence that Anthony all but passed out. The incredible darkness of the creature enveloped him, and he fell into a sound sleep. Dreaming yet still awake, Anthony looked up to see the creature was now in full colour, a burning red body with silver eyes that bore straight into the soul of him, scanning briefly over his most personal thoughts and feelings, assessing everything that gave him his identity, and causing him to feel more inferior then ever before. After what seemed like and age the creature spoke to him, its voice surprising soft for its menacing appearance “If you can understand me, then I have finally found the one whose life is mine for the taking, the one who can take my place as the mover of the land.”
