Synopsis: Evan Plant is Dead

Contrary to what the title has so confidently told you, Evan Plant is not dead. He has not bought a farm, bitten dust, or kicked any sort of bucket, and he has certainly never pushed up a daisy. But not for lack of enthusiasm- despite all evidence to the contrary, Evan Plant is certainly, completely convinced that he's snuffed it, and no one seems to be able to convince him otherwise. Though it is decided that he can continue living a normal life, his behavior begins to attract the derision of the townspeople as a whole, particularly those townspeople who have had graves dug in their backyards. However, in the process of his fruitless attempts to pass on, he begins to make connections with the hidden oddballs of the community, and helps many an eccentric find solace in the knowledge that they're not alone. It's a story about life, death, and the struggle to tell the difference. And cats.
