Brief Author Bio: I'm a Japanese/Creative Writing major at University of Colorado. I want to be a novelist, but I'm sure a lot of people on this site share similar desires. Synopsis: Walking Endless Paths
I'm calling the genre "light fantasy."
There's this guy, right? And he never dies, like, mortal injuries like being stabbed through the heart are the equivalent of pinpricks in the rest of us. So what does he do? He's not gonna mope about like all the other immortal suckers you may have heard of. What he's gonna do is fall in love, have kids, raise the family, then his wife's gonna die, and he's gonna head out. Somewhere else. Italy, Palestine, India, Japan, the Americas. But why should he bother falling in love anymore? He's got family everywhere that needs looking after.
Excerpt: Walking Endless Paths
"Okay," he said, "the first part of this spell is you have to not bathe for a week."
"Really?" she said, "I don't have to take a bath for a WHOLE WEEK?"
"Yes, I'm glad you're excited for it. See, the little spirits in the dirt..."
"Hah! My momma said I HAD to take baths! Look at what she knows!"
"Yes," he said, giving up on the explanation. "Yes. Exactly."
