Synopsis: Crossover - Book Two
Still no working title, but that's hardly going to stop me from plunging ahead into book two.
Left with disturbing questions of just what she is capable of and afraid of what might be happening to her mother, Erina jumps out of a tree--and doesn't plunge to her death. She once again crosses over to the world where our myths and legends have retreated. She needs allies and she needs answers, but can she avoid the Dragon long enough to find either?
Excerpt: Crossover - Book Two
“Drake?” I whispered his name no louder than a breath. I didn’t want to wake him if he were asleep already.
There was a rustle of bedclothes off to my right. His voice, different from the boy’s that I had known and yet already familiar, came from several feet away. “Yes, Erina?”
I swallowed, not sure what I wanted to say. I’m sorry that you’re going to disappear? Even in the complete darkness of the room that was too embarrassing to say aloud. Instead I asked lamely, “Are you okay?”
I swear I could hear him smile in the dark. “I’m better now,” he replied. “Now sleep. Tomorrow we will talk.”
