Brief Author Bio: Graduate scribbler who will be forever indebted to NaNoWriMo for producing the completion of my first novel 'The Ever-Shifting Winds'. Despite my success, the part of me that worries over these things continues to fret as to whether I can duplicate my success this year, particularly as last year I felt that one of my ideas for stories stood out from the others. I'm not quite sure which idea I'll be using this year, and therefore not which genre. |

Synopsis: Retreat (working title)
John spent fifteen years in a job he hated. No, I mean, REALLY hated, the bile has been churning up his gut for years and finally he has had the courage (or, as some would say, the cowardice) to escape. Renovating his great Aunt's house, far away from city living, is only the start.
Robbie is the village choirmaster, and proverbial church mouse. Shy but affable, he has strong friendships in the village and is gratful for it. He too, ran away from city living, but his reasons are less clear. When Ruth, his best friend, is attacked, will the village blame him or stand by him? And what is the real reason that he left his old life behind all those years ago?
