Synopsis: Emperor Over All Cats
Yumiko is the Princess of Ice and Snow-- and has never been beyond the palace walls. Kai is a simple farm-boy from another world, on a mission to save his friend. When Prophecy is involved, can the Emperor's cats make sure that the gaps between them, and stop the crumbling of the universe?
Excerpt: Emperor Over All Cats
“The envoy Isis begs an audience with the King of Frost.” Raiden said with a deferential bow to the thrones. “She bears a message from the Jade Emperor.”
Yumiko rose as she noticed her father and mother both doing. There was an envoy from the Emperor himself? Invisible, maybe. She did not see any--
“I grant the envoy audience. Isis, what news have you?”
“Greetings to the King of Frost from his Imperial Majesty, the Jade Emperor.” The female voice filled the room with its greetings-- but sounded a bit annoyed. An ordinary orange tabby stepped away from the hunting group, and towards the throne.
A moment later Yumiko realized why her brother and his hunters had looked so startled.
The messenger was a cat.
“I have come to remind you of the Emperor's vision.”
