Brief Author Bio: Hello, I am trying this out. Last fall I finally sat down for the first time and put thought to paper. However when college started back up that thought got diverted. On Thanksgiving day (two weeks from finals) I picked up Twilight to see what all the hype was about, my last day of finals (two weeks after Turkey Day) I finished Breaking Dawn and started reading all of Stephenie Meyers' info. This, oddly, inspired me to get back to my story. And so, since finals I have been attempting to peck out something resembling my original idea back in August. To keep me motivated I have been researching writing online and got led here. |

Synopsis: Dear Me...
A young woman starts recieving letters from herself 15 years in the future.
Excerpt: Dear Me...
Dear Me…
Thank you for finally getting your mail. From now on you will have to start checking it daily. You are going to start getting random letters from me. These letters will be very important, and will guide you through some rough times ahead. You will some times look forward to the letters and others fear the letters. But in the end you too will write the letters, there will be no stopping. I tried, as I was told that I would do, but I am sitting here at 3 in themorning unable to sleep for fear that if I don’t write the letters I will change the entire course of the future. It has been exactly one week since I have gotten my last letter.
Ok so Iknow that you are starting to wonder what I am talking about. I am you in 15 years. For the past 15 years I have been getting letters that have, as I said, at times have been a blessing and at other times been a burden.
There is not much more that I can say, I am writing this letter from memory… I saved all the letters and have read them many times but 2 days ago, I lost all of them accept for the cards, so I hope I get this right.
Friday, you will wish that you had brought an umbrella with you despite the weatherman’s promise to have a sunny dry day. On your way home stop to pick up some kleenex and cough drops you will need them. Also, give dad a hug, he is going to need it.
Ok, with nothing else to say, I am going to say good bye for now, enjoy the ride, and see you in the mirror.
Love,
Me
