It's Ryan. No, really. I'm a guy. The username is a long, long story, and if it was Nano-legal to write memoirs, I could probably get a novel out of it. But it's not, and I won't subject you to the boredom of it unless you ask nicely.

I took a week of vacation from work for NaNo (hey, I get vacation anyway, might as well take it at the time I want to - I'm not much for traveling) and that's why my word count is higher than usual. I slowed down a bit in the second week. This is my sixth NaNo, and my fifth win so far. Two novels done, one mostly done. I didn't mean to do three but I finished both my novels by mid-month and needed more wordcount. This year I ended up with one good-ish novel (Hand of Winter) and two pails of brain vomit, but sometimes your brain just has to de-gunk itself.
