Brief Author Bio:

I've always hated these biographies. I never knew what to write in them, and when I did I usually ended up sounding stupid or making absolutely no sense, providing no more information to the reader than just a slew of typical interests that I had already stated before when filling out the information in the boxes before that ask the specific questions, like 'What's your favorite TV show', 'What's your favorite book', 'Why are you so freaking obsessed with William Petersen'... you know. The basics.
So I'll try my hardest to be brief, as this IS a 'Brief Bio'. I can already see this is not going to work.
I am Rose Ingram, 15 years old, born in a Great Big City not so far from where you live, most likely. I was never a city girl, and my parents were not either, which is why we immediately moved into the country. I use the term 'country' lightly. It was still pretty rural and in other places an urban sprawl, but to the cityfolk it counted as country.
I grew up out there, following my father's obsession for huge amounts of property and always having the chance to run around in the fresh air.
However, they usually had to drag me outside.
See, my room was my haven, the place were I could play all day and night and tell fantastic stories to my heart's content. I could lock myself in and close off the real world, inspired by magic and dragons, mostly in part to my early jump at Harry Potter, which my mother got me into. So I didn't go outside much and lived in a fantasy world where the only way to get me out was to shoot me to school.
Time moved on, time spent at home grew shorter. Time I had available to create these stories grew shorter. I also became self aware, noticing the thin walls and closeness of the newer house we had moved into, quieting into a whisper and then finally not talking at all. My stories evolved in my head as a movie from there on out. But I had no way to keep them all together.
And then my beloved mother gave me a laptop.
And I began to write.
