Synopsis: Heart's Dreaming
A bad breakup at the end of senior year left Melinda Crawford serious, independent and untrusting. In her first semester at college a thousand miles from home, she meets Evan Summerlea. With friends, projects, dancing, learning, and playing, they travel together through their first semester in college. Can this ridiculous, crazy boy teach her to let go and trust again? Can he learn that it's okay to be serious? And can Melinda find out the meaning of "Dream" enough to write 3-5 short stories about it?

“Where we’re going is a surprise,” he told her, grinning. “Come on, seriously. Work can wait. This is college. Time to live!” He was so exuberant, his hand still outstretched, waiting for her to join him. In living, whatever that meant. She looked back towards her dorm, where her books were waiting. Then she looked at Evan’s joyful, hopeful face. She took a step toward him.
