“Nessa, do you think you would be able to hold your own in battle?” He asked, his voice growing dangerous. “Do you think you would be able to look death in the eye for the sake of your sister?”
Nessa looked deep into his eyes, growing affected by his intensity. She felt as if she could see the very fires of battle in them, the bloodshed and the gore. The terror and loss infected her and it frightened her senseless, but she did not waver in her determination.
