Synopsis: Twilight

Hugh Castle's boat, The Twilight, founders during a squall and goes down taking the life of his brother. Hugh manages to survive but after due consideration, thinks it may have been sabotaged with the aim to kill him. He lets the world think he went down with his ship and goes to an inquiry agency, Second Sons, to hire an investigator. He meets up with Helen Archer at the agency. She is looking for help to find a valuable necklace she lost at Hugh's home during a recent ball. But she is too shy and embarrassed to admit it is lost, so she hopes to find someone to help her retrieve it without making a production out of the entire thing. She mistakes Hugh for one of the agents and he hits upon the perfect solution. He convinces Helen to go back to his home as a brother and sister team and hire on as servants. This gives Hugh time to investigate in secrecy and Helen the opportunity to find the necklace without everyone thinking she is an idiot for losing it.
It seems the best course of action until everything starts to go wrong...
