I'm sort of like a newbie, but not. Here's my track record:

2006 & 2007 - I won fair and square, but the novels... um... no longer exist. As in, deleted. (I have my reasons.)

In 2008, I claimed victory, but I really shouldn't have done so. I had basically 50,000 words of disjointed starts and restarts - there was no novel in there per se.

So I'm starting over in 2009 with a new username and clean slate. Things should be better this year. (Update, 11-21-09) Well, maybe not. I won early and I wanted to try a second novel, but my second idea fell through because the main character was pathetic. There goes my shot at the Overachievers' Club. Oh well, I'd rather not waste my time and energy on junk.

There may yet be a second novel, but the chances of that one hitting 50K are slim at best.
