Brief Author Bio: Howdy! I've done this before all by my lonesome, but only got to 20K. So now I've joined. I like the aforementioned stuff, else I wouldn't've put it under my Favorite (Thing)s. And I speak a touch of Japanese. Comes from watching anime. Hence the name. |

Synopsis:
Sam intends to learn the truth about the death of his brother back in the fifties in a psychiatric hospital. So he won't allow this family reunion to be all fun and games-- instead, he drafts his relatives into helping solve the mystery and avenge his brother.
Enter Lilly, a cousin who knew naught of any such death, but agrees to go undercover as a patient in the same hospital to further the investigation. Perhaps not the wisest choice.
The hospital is haunted, and Sam thinks it's his brother's ghost. But that doesn't mean the ghost will spare him and Lilly.
Excerpt:
“Nothing can make me feel better.” The insides of her eyelids were very red. The floor was very hard. She didn’t dare sit up. She wasn’t sure she dared open her eyes, either, so she didn’t. “You’re welcome to try. Perhaps then one person will feel good in this world. But it will be transitory. Nothing good truly lasts; all is pain. I long for Nirvana, but I can’t reach it here.”
“Are you a Buddhist?”
“No. I merely agree that all roads lead to pain and only death can give release.”
“Well, I’m putting you on Prozac. I’m sure you’ve heard of it.”
