Synopsis: Ruby's Law

Ruby Duncan, born in Scotland, emigrates with her family to Maine in the mid-nineteenth century. Homesick and culture-shocked, she invents a world where she reigns as the Granite Queen whose Law must be obeyed. The safe place she constructs is threatened by a Congregationalist minister and his family.
