Synopsis: As yet untitled
Akil is a 28-year-old college flunk-out waiting tables in Northwest Washington, D.C. He spends his days reading Thoreau and the Bhagavad Gita, his evenings flattering diners at the hip Dinner Table and his late nights chasing his next "experience." When he meets Nadine Thompson, a recent Syracuse graduate working at the local Borders bookstore, he is genuinely intrigued and fully engaged for once. But he suspects that his inability to commit has something to do with unresolved anger towards his mother, who is slowly dying back home in Atlanta.
