Synopsis: Oaken Hearts

Medical care is sparse in western Tennessee in the eighteen forties. Lucy has just lost her husband of eighteen months and she blames the doctor for her husband's death and vows to prove his guilt. Compounding her troubles are societal expectations of Society in the South and her own ideas and philosophies. She and Doctor MacLellan spark off of each other at every encounter and find themselves working unexpectedly toward a common goal, though Lucy swears that changes nothing in her continued investigation.
