Brief Author Bio:

I have returned NaNo Land, for a fifth year of insane torture of my psyche. This year, however, there is a special catch. I'm in my last semester at the University of Central Oklahoma, which means I'm student teaching. For the entirety of the month of November... I will be a full-time teacher in the Oklahoma City Public School district. I'll be damned, though, if that stops me from my NaNoWriMo dreams and aspirations! Grading papers, teaching all day, working all weekend, keeping my blog somewhat up to date, preparing for graduation, keeping my social life just above the point of being pronounced legally dead, and now a novel too. Wish me luck!

Synopsis: The Tale of Deneb Vir

For the first time here at NaNoWriMo, I step out of the land of Hella I created so long ago in a boring sophomore High School class. This year I'm trying my hand at fan fiction, telling the story of my World of Warcraft character, Deneb Vir, and his adventures through Azeroth and beyond. Listen to his tale of belief and knowledge as he attempts to uncover the very meaning of life, for both the Warcraft universe, and our own.

Excerpt: The Tale of Deneb Vir

The skeletons raised their swords and let them fall upon Cygni’s incapacitated body, only for them to be crumpled under their own weight and chip away. A flash of golden light surrounded Cygni as he heard an old, familiar voice shout “Din’divh’alah!”
The skeletons stepped back, confused, while the necromancer urgently looked around for the priest that must have cast the spell. In that flash of a second, Cygni shouted out “Belore’melorn!” and the skeletons lit up in a flash and immediately crumbled in the wind as towers of ash. Cygni leapt up in one bound and saw something he swore he did not. He wiped his eyes, shook his head and stared. Standing before him, bloody and in tattered robes, was his little brother, whom he had not seen in years.
“Deneb?” Cygni shouted, “Deneb is that you? I can’t believe it!”
“Mortus offendo!” The necromancer chanted, hurling a bolt of shadow at Cygni.
“Dinoriel’talah!” Deneb counter-chanted. Cygni’s magical shield turned a light purple just before the necromancer’s magic hit him. His spell was completely absorbed into the shield and fizzled out to nothing.
“Felo’melorn!” Cygni shouted, waving a finger in a slicing motion at the necromancer. The ground below him immediately erupted into a tower of flame, searing the cultists body in flame. He screamed in pain as he madly ran about.
The brothers’ skills were honing together.
“Anar’alah!” Deneb shouted.
“Felo!” Cygni shouted in rhythm with Deneb. “Anar'alah belore, felo!”
The necromancer fell to the ground and twitched but a few times from his charred skin and searing muscles and veins. The shadowy figure could take no more and went limp. No sooner did the necromancer fall did many of the undead return to the dust of the earth. The few ghouls and gargoyles left quickly retreated back into the woods. The Blood Elves were victorious.
