And it's 3-5pm on weekends. Except for 24 and 18, I think. We'll reconfirm on those two dates but yeah.

Ps. Feel free to paste that around.

Okay. This is the next event and the event after that and the event after that ... well, write-ins throughout the month of November.

First one is on November 3rd, 3-5pm at the Arts House.
One after that is on November 4th, 3-5pm at the Arts House.

Sounding repetitive. Good practice for novel writing except I'm not doing literary this year but it might work in Parody, Satire and Humour (yes! with a U)

We don't need numbers except sort of for those who want to use an AlphaSmart for the write-in or want to borrow one for the month. That's just so I don't have to lug (I wonder if that is related to 'luggage'?) all of them when I only need to bring two or three.

I've just found out that the Singapore River Market will be on this weekend, Sat 3rd & Sun 4th, all day, both days with events in and around the Arts House.

On the one hand it's good news as there's a special lunch & dinner deal at earshot. On the other hand, there might be hordes of people running around or sitting around making lots of noise and disturbing the muses. More info is at http://www.theartshouse.com.sg/event_details_2007.php?id=667.

I'll be there both days for sure. If it looks like being ultra busy in earshot then those who are early can try to grab the sofas in the corridor outside earshot (near the loos, but much quieter I think).

If all else fails then we can get the free audio tour (u.p. $6) and visit the old parliament chamber, which will be open both days. Or bring a mat and we can go outside and sit on the grass and write the whole thing into our novels :)

We write. We drink coffee, tea or whatever else takes your fancy. Sometimes we moan. There are whispered conversations. Nobody hushes other people for whispering. We sometimes just sit and stare into space. Keyboards are thumped a lot. Then we go home.

Sounds like fun. Too bad the only day I can make is the 17th.

Anyone game to come write-in with me post-5 on Sundays? I'm over at Parkway.

A reminder to those who don't know, have forgotten or otherwise are out of the loop, the first Singapore Chapter of NaNoWriMo is tomorrow, Saturday November 3rd from 3-5pm at the Arts House. Expect lots of stalls and things with the River Market and if you're there early, then grab the biggest table you can find and put up the Singapore Novelist at Work card.

If you can't make it tomorrow then try for Sunday, same time, same place. See you there!

(Anyone wanting to use an AlphaSmart bring along a thumb drive or a diskette)

Yesterday's write-in (Sat 10th) had a good turnout of seven WriMos. Drew quite a few stares from people passing by. Most of us clocked up over 2,000 words.

See some of you at today's write-in!

Cake! There will be cake! Birthday cake tomorrow at the last write-in of NaNoWriMo Singapore 2007.

I got a voucher, in fact we got two vouchers, one for me and one for my hubby since both our birthdays are in November and we got TWO cakes! So tomorrow at the last Singapore NaNoWriMo write-in of 2007 we will celebrate the double co-ML birthdays of sarahcoldheart and rozen (me!) in November with a little chocolate cake! Yaaay!

Additional cake will be at TGIO, birthday cake at write-in came unexpectedly last night with one of those birthday voucher things we're always bombarded with in November 'cos both my hubby and I are November birthday people and we did our birthday dinner thing together but we can't possibly eat two birthday cakes so one is coming with me to the write-in to celebrate the other November birthday since both MLs are November birthdays.

It's not nearly so awesome as the TGIO cake is going to be, though, so we need lots and lots of people at the TGIO to help eat that one!!
