I looked around for a introduction thread and didn't see one. This is my first NaNo, but I participated in a knock off last January and failed miserably after an accidental deletion of the entire story around the 20K mark. Since then, I've nearly finished that novel, but need to set it aside and work on another story that's been bouncing around in my brain.

Participating in NaNo this year will be especially challenging for me this year because I'm moving from South Carolina to Ohio in the middle of the month, due to my hubby getting out of the Marine Corps. The first half will be plagued by a visit from my MIL and the second half will be adjusting to living near family for the first time in four years. I'm hoping that NaNo will help keep me sane during these times.

So, I'm new. Hello! No clue what do to next or where to go so I guess I should get cracking on an outline, huh?

What a complete and total shock! As soon as I post this and wander away, I find the place to introduce myself. Well, anyway, I came in the side door and tripped, making a fool of myself but here I am. Hello!

Well, that thread was getting pretty long, so you might have gotten lost in the mix. This is a better way to make sure everyone knows who you are. hehe Good luck moving and everything while you write (I'm going to be moving in November, too, but just back to my parent's couch, so hopefully it won't interfere with my writing too much lol). But I'm glad you said that about deleting your story... I'll remember to back everything up! I'm sure you'll be doing the same. haha Sorry, I'm sure it wasn't very funny at the time. :-/

Yes, save your story in triplicate! I'm writing on my laptop but also saving to a thumb drive and saving it on my desk top. Good gravy, if this story gets deleted, I'm going to start writing in crayon. : )
