It's still the same basic premise... But it's feeling a lot more like Maddie's story will be the primary one. Madeline and Maggie's I think will be imparted to her through others ~ Madeline via their guardian angel and Maggie via a new character who's popped up named Johannah. She's someone who was a contemporary of Maggie's during WWII and she'll get to know Maddie when Maddie's working at the cathedral.
I've decided just to go with it and see what happens. If the other stories DO come out stronger, I'll look into options on editing. But right now, this is feeling like how it's gonna go.

I'm not sure how important the names are to you, but is there a reason why they're all called Mad/Mag? That has the potential to become extremely confusing. - you'll need some rare skill to juggle the three and have people calling them their own pet names and not confuse the reader.

On the other hand, it could make for some easy word count boosting!
Character A: "I'm really worried about Maggie because of such-and-such?"
Character B: "I didn't know that such-and-such was bothering Madeleine."
Character A: "No, no, I said Maggie."
Character B: "Really? It sounded like you said Madeleine."
Character A: "I definitely said Maggie."
Character B: "You really shouldn't chew gum. It's a filthy habit."
At this point Character's A & B can launch into a several thousand word argument over the history of etiquette and vertical-chaos will cruise to nano victory.

Well, they named themselves. BUT...they don't exist at the same time. Maddie is the primary character at this point. Madeline's story will be told to her in parts as needed/she's ready for by Raziel, the archangel who's their guardian angel through every lifetime (they're different incarnations of the same soul). A character who will exist in the modern day along with Maddie, Johannah, will have known Maggie from their girlhood and she can tell Maddie a lot of that...Razi will do his part too I'm sure.
Or it may evolve back into the three part thing I'd initially conceived where Madeline and Maggie would each have their own sections...though things might be retold a little in Maddie's section as she's ready to hear about/learn from those lives.
