For those of you who don't already know about Live Journal, I suggest you check it out. Memberships are free.
It's a blogging community of mostly writers. Unlike a lot of other blog/writing sites, Live Journal is very much a community.
I'm sure there's even a few communities set up for NaNoWriMo.
If there's enough interest, I'd be happy to set up a Phoenix Community within Live Journal.
(Personally, I'm having a great deal of trouble getting NaNoWriMo pages to load -- it's deathly slow for me and so my posting here will be limited.)
My blog is http://pxcampbell.livejournal.com/

I really like this idea, and I'm in the process of setting up my own Live Journal just for NaNo. I have a blog on wordpress, but that's more for another writing challenge that I created, so this is better.

I started a community on LiveJournal for us Phoenicians.
Here's the link. http://community.livejournal.com/nano_07_phoenix/367.html
I think you'll find that LiveJournal has many advantages over other social networking and blog sites.
1) It's free.
2) It's really easy to create a professional-looking blog.
3) It's fast.
4) Lots of different communities -- including A LOT of writers' communities.
Unlike the big social networking sites, Live Journal seems to be heavily focussed on writers and artists.
Check it out.

Yeah, LJ is great for communities, there's really something for everyone. That's why I stuck around it instead of getting into blogging elsewhere.
There was an east valley community last year where write-ins were planned and fun was had. Sorta. http://community.livejournal.com/eastvalley_nano

I live on LJ. A new community is always love! Did any of you see the NaNo virtual gifts? I'm not sure how many of the local Support crew are participating this year, but I know some of the not-so-local ones are.
