I'm sure you're all super excited about NaNo this year, whether you've done it before or not. If you haven't, I bet there are lots of nice WriMos in our region ready to take you under their wings and give you some pointers.</p> <p>I might as well introduce myself while I'm here. My name is Ali, and this is my third year doing NaNo. The first year, I didn't succeed, and last year, I sort of won, but technically lost. Meaning, I wrote 50k, but it was split between a novel I'd already started and a new one. This year, I'm going for it for good, and this month, I'm working on some planning to get ready for November. I'm not one to plan everything out too much, but I want to have a clear enough idea of what I'm working towards. </p> <p>I was thinking it would be awesome if we set a wordcount goal for our region. What do you guys think? Can we make 500k? One million? One million would take 20 of us crossing that finish line, and that's if no one else contributed a word. I think we can make a million. What do you say?
