My novel will be a YA novel for teens but I want to use the Chick Lit angle. Has anyone heard of this being done before or knows of any titles in this format? I'll also post this on the YA forum. Thanks!

I'm not personally familiar with the sub-genre, but it exists and I gather it is pretty popular -- e.g. look at the movie-TV versions - The Princess Diaries, Gosspi Girl -- those are 'chick-lit' in style.

I've heard of this genre, in fact, most of the books that I own are of this genre! The only difference between Ya/Chick Lit and regular Chick Lit is that the 'chick' is a teenager. I'm writing in this mixed-genre as well. Examples are the Mates, Dates Series, the Georgia Nicolson series, Private and, as already mention, Princess Diaries and Gossip Girl. Definitely try to incorporate some teen 'lingo' if it really is for young adults.
