Not solo this year! I'll give it a shot, but I'm pretty sure I'll fall far short of the mark.

I've been to Rocky Mount, but couldn't stay...my car kept going to Nags Head.

Jack Kerouac did some of his best writing in Rocky Mount.

So does anyone have big plans for their novels? I'm not going to finish mine this week (I hope to have it finished by February, revised and finalized by April), but I'm going to finish it and wanted to know if anyone else is planning on shopping it around to publishers.

I'm planning on writing up a proposal and shopping my novel to agents. I'm not sure how the editing part will go - my one character should have Torrets, I've got about four minority groups who are denigrated, and the c-word (yes, that c-word) shows up about five or six times. (Not to mention copyright infringement and man-eating Smurfs.) So I'm seriously debating publishing under a false name, assuming I can publish, and then sending the manuscript to various religious organizations so that it can be banned as a form of publicity.
