There was a kickoff party in SF thrown by headquarters, and we had a local first minute write-in here in the south bay. The SF party was on October 27th, and the first minute, well, October 31/November 1st.

The details were posted here in the regional forums and also sent out in a regional email. But if you hadn't signed up yet, you would not have received either. It's too early to give you specifics about next year, though it should be easy enough to figure out when the first minute write-in will be. :) My suggestion is to make sure you come back to the nano site by mid-October at the latest next year to get the details for the 2008 events.

Yes, I'm imagonnablastyou on flickr. I have no problem with you using the images in your newsletter, though please attribute them to me with a "Photo by Ian Dudley" caption. Not sure what you mean by 'original photos' as the source is digital. If you want access to the full size image and have a flickr account, PM me with your flickr ID and I'll make you a contact. I think at that point you can access the full-sized version. If not, PM me with the images you want and an email address, and I'll email them to you.

Just to set the record straight, we do all (I think) appreciate the photos taken and uploaded. The photographer getting hit by a bus in my novel (available in my excerpt) is of course completely symbolic. :D
