How are you guys faring? Tonight, or should I say this early November Fifth, I managed to get to 4524 words. Out of what I was supposed to be at 6,668 words, I ain't keeping up too well. I'm still down 2,XXX words, which is about a day or two's writing.
I wrote so much today. All I did was slap on some headphones, turn off all the lights and went to work. Me and a friend of mine who goes by insanguinare do most of our writing later on in the day but we're still both below quota.
How are you guys?

Don't get too discouraged. You're only about 500 words below yesterday's goal, which could be just a few really quick paragraphs if you get on a roll in the morning. Then you could spread out Sunday's word count goal over the next few days, picking up a couple hundred words of it each day. By the end of the week, you could be all caught up without much extra effort and you're already off to a good start. :-)
As for myself, I came up a little short the first day, then pulled slightly ahead yesterday and the day before. Now tonight, I'm racing to catch up to Sunday's goal of 6,668. I got a really late start and still need about 900 to go. I'd love to reach it before bed, but 6:45 am comes way too fast, so we'll see.
Good luck and try to stay positive

You're doing fine! Some days the muse has more to say than on other days. My Sunday night total was 7525 words, so I'm pretty much on-track. I'm in Los Banos and there is nothing to do here anyway :).

Amen! the big thing is to not give up on it. But that being said, you have to keep taking time to write. Eventually it will become less of an effort and more of a routine thing.
Good luck and keep at it!

Weekends are great for catching up. Don't forget, this month we have an extra non-work day on Thanksgiving. Once the turkey is gone, we should be able to use that evening for extra writing (a catch-up day, if you will).
Write on!

I'm at 6k right now, so I know how it feels. Trust me though, I'm not worried and you shouldn't be either. Sometimes you write more because you know exactly what you want out of the chapter or text, and sometimes, you write less, because that muse is hiding around, laughing at you. I actually had 5k around the day before yesterday and then I decided to change my novel, so I erased all my work and started from ground zero and now I have 6k and I'm working a little easier now. It's been a while since I have been in NaNo and I can't believe I ever stopped! I love it!

I'm so far behind it's frightening me, but I'm attempting to catch up over the next two days...my days off from work, perfect to just pound away at the keys. I'm hoping to reach at least 7-8k by tonight. I'll stop by later and update! Keep going everyone, Nano is that once a year chance to share our pain together, lol

Ha, didn't expect to see you posting in the forums, X.
Yeaaah, I write in the evenings but I'm at about 8500 right now and I really wanted to be around 14k. I'm going to try to make it to 10k tonight -- I've written about a thousand words since I got home today. If I write about 3k a day, I should get back on track within a week, right?
For some reason, when I sit down to write, I'm not having trouble coming up with the words. I love my story, it's coming along quite nicely. The problem is distractions and responsibilities. Homework. Cleaning. Instant messaging and other online stuff. It drags me away and I end up going to sleep at eleven or midnight without having written as much as I could have. =/
However, I must say, after churning out 3k words yesterday, I felt ridiculously accomplished. I can only imagine how I'll feel at the end of the month if I win after all.

I've managed to pump out about 18,000 words, I'm aiming for 20,000 by the end of the night. I've found it easy to go ahead of quota just as long as I make some nice, quiet time for my writing.
Also, the program Dark Room has been an amazing help of keeping me from being distracted while I write.

I use Q10. It's pretty nice as well, I just keep closing it because I have my mind on other things (like my Government AP homework... hm. Short-answers and essays, or Nanowrimo? It's tough...)
20k? Nice. I must say I'm quite jealous... if I keep up the 3k a day, I may make 20k by the 12th, which would be right on target...

15,026 words today, and going strong. I'm lucky to have a couple of solid hours every day to work, which is what's kept me on track. I'm also a chronic insomniac, so I write when I can't sleep :-)

I can't do that or I will be dead at school in the mornings!... Well, okay, maybe I was up til about one yesterday writing, but I can't do that every day!
Topping 10k feels GREAT. Accomplishment, ahh.

I've been writing A LOT. So much that I didn't really do anything BUT write and THINK about it.
So I took a break today. Maybe 100k is too much.
I'll just see how it turns out, then...
EDIT: And now i'm sick. oh, the irony.
