Any particular regions/towns/major cities in Texas known particularly for being strongly fundamentalist Christian?
Any resources on Fundamentalist Christianity, particularly more along the church culture side of things... what do they do in church, what sort of events does the church put on, are there any organizations within the church for really involved members, or in what ways are people able to volunteer for their church? Catholics have the Knights of Columbus, do they have anything similar?

It kind of depends on which of the 50,000 or so "flavors" of Fundamentalist Christianity you are talking about. Some can be characterized by their doctrinal differences. Some can be characterized by different practices inside and outside worship services. Some can be characterized by geography. Some can be characterized by cultural influences of the immigrants who brought the faith with them. Some can be characterized by something of a "cult of personality."
And I'm not much of an expert on Fundamentalism!
If you would consider Lutherans instead, there are several places in Texas. Near Giddings is Serbin. Both are settlements for German Texans and Wendish heritage.

I'm from Texas, and I can tell you that the hardcore fundamentalist thing is a lot more common in the small towns. So, if you get out just about anywhere with a really scattered population, but I would say esp. the Panhandle (North Texas) and East Texas. Hope this helps.
