just a random thought from my medicated mind...
we have a big group here. and its hard to find a day when all of us are free, and even if we do, its hard to find a place big enough to write at.
so, why dont we say that we have two write ins per weekend, and those who can do saturdays go to the sturday, the sunday people do that, and if you can make both, bonus for you?
just a thought. i personally wouldnt mind it if the group is smaller, and it would make it easier for everyone to attend if both days were options. also if you miss one you could go to the other, cafes wont die at the sight of us, etc etc.
just an idea. anyone got opinions?

I vote for a weekday write in. Preferably Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

I could easily attend just about write-in. I work evenings, except for one day a weekend and I'm done with Uni for the semester, so whenever is good for me.
Then again, I'm really all about the meet-up/inspiration/planning part of them, since I don't have a laptop. I do all my writing at my desktop computer. So I won't do much actual writing at a write-in, but I'm always up for bouncing ideas around, sketching out the next parts of my novel and enjoying some tasty treats with crazy people. :)

That sounds alright =]
As for weekdays: School. School and more school. And work, I'm sure some people work on weekdays. It really doesn't mix :3

If someone wants to take the initiative and organise other write-ins, then go for it! It's one less worry off our collective ML mind. It's not easy trying to find a time that the most people like, especially during the week. So, that being said, if anyone wants to organise a write-in outside of the usual meetings, feel free. We would prefer if it was just a write-in, so we can keep the weekly meeting just a weekly thing.
I know we all want to get to the weekly meetings, but unless we can create some kind of pocket in time that we can hang around in, then it's just not possible.
We do like seeing you all. We'll be posting something tomorrow night after we've taken everything into consideration, about the weekend meeting.

i'm up for that.
how many people would be interested in such a thing?
My main issue is that i really cant be driving or going anywhere at the moment. I'd be open to the idea of having a write-in at my home, for those who want a weekday meet, but i am pretty damn northside, so that depends on the whereabouts and transportation requirements of those who are free weekdays. but i'm happy to have that as an option either comment here or nanomail me, k?

Cait, i don't think you could be any further northside than I am, unless you were in gungahlin. I'm all the way up in north only a couple hundred metres from the border. But i'm interested in weekday meets.

i'm more than happy to (try) to organise things, even if i cant always attend.
the more meet-ups the merrier. seeing everyone's lovely enthusiastic/terrified faces gives me warm feelings in my chest and tummy...

Although I know that it would be fun, I don't think I'll be able to make it along to any of the write-ins. I shall just have to make do with the weekend meetups!
