Hey all,

I'll be passing this along to deltasierra directly as well, but I wanted to let folks know that I'm going to try out Barnes&Noble this Friday at 6:30 for a bit of public writing. Come along and give it a try if you're interested. It offers more space than Olympic Coffee, is a bit more centrally located for those in the north end of the county, and I'm willing to give it a try.

If nothing else, drop by and listen to me plot new and interesting ways to silence my inner editor. I'll be the bristly baldy!

B&N at the mall? ;o (I hope that's the one, since it's the only one I know of around here)
I certainly think I can manage that, especially if it means I wont have my binder hanging off the table this time.
I'll see what I can do to get there. (:

Yup, the one at the mall. Drop me a NaMo message if you need a lift and I'll see what I can do.

I'm having more trouble with my inner procrastinator than my inner editor. I'll see if it works for my family -- sounds good! Thanks for organizing it.

This just occurred to me on the bus home from school today--Where in B&N will our little gathering be?

I was thinking in the cafe since there are a fair number of tables and people can get something to eat or drink if they care to.

Ooooooo....B&N cookies.......

I hear internal editors and internal procrastinators both hate B&N cookies. I'll have to eat a dozen or so to protect myself from their evil influences.

Sounds good to me!
(Not just the tables, but the cookies, too!)
I'll have to see if I still have money on my debit card...ahaha.

I will be there, as will my husband (unless he chickens out ;)). I've also sent a NaNoMail to LMSmouse1, who I met last year, and she will hopefully be there, as well.

Schizo!
:3 Just look for the people with laptops and paper. Then again, if there are students studying, that'd be hard.
If it helps, I'm a short blonde girl with a black hoodie. It has a big red X on the back and a colorful boy (yes, that is a boy) on front.
I shouldn't be too hard to spot. :o Maybe I'll recognize you, since you go to Oly, yes? In any case, I'm sure you'll be fine. :D

n___n I'll probably just sit down with my laptop and wear my camoflage jacket and set down my buttons next to me.
I'm paranoid about going up to someone and them thinking I'm insane XD
But I'll be going, I dont know for how long though. I'm going down to Wordstock tommarrow in Portland and I wanna shop too. C:

I know the feeling!
I had to stop being so shy and go up and ask shagin, parity and smoke if they were Wrimos last Friday. Thankfully they were and I wasn't embarassing myself. ;D
If you don't find us, we'll find you!
I think I want to stop by Waldens tonight...Hmm...
(Offtopic).
Okay, Kia. Go write now. Two and a half hours to spare.
USE THEM.

Oh probably too late, but I read on a Portland thread that the Wrimos bring a rubber duck and set it next to them on the table. Then, all you have to do is look for the ducky!

Good Luck, I'm from the Walla Walla crew, but your thread lands in my inbox too.

:) Have fun, and get those ducks for next time!

Yup--Just a little too late.
But that's a good idea.
Random people might wonder at the rubber duck but it would be a nice little beacon for the Wrimos next time who have not come to today's meet or last week's meet.
(: Thanks!

A successful gathering if I do say so myself. And this late in the evening, I'm lucky I can say anything at all.

Our approximate group word count based on the numbers I could get from those who toughed it out to the bitter end (and I apologize for not thinking to get a tally from those who left before the idea occured to me) was 11, 452. Way to go, pee-pohl!!

I can barely rememember my name at the moment, so I'll finish the scene I'm working on now tomorrow and post it, and my new word count, then.

Until then, keep on writin'!

Yours in sleepy success,
shagin

Yesterday was great!
I'm glad we got more people to come :D Hopefully they'll all (and maybe more?) come next time, too.
I have not yet typed up what I hand-wrote last night. I'm going to do so after PAWS today.
(And I realized when I got home that my wordcount here still says 24100-something.)

Oh!
My dad said last night that there's a Starbucks in Silverdale that he thinks has bigger tables (since we only had that one larger table this time). Thought it might be worth checking out. (:
Anyway, it was nice meeting the people that came (but I didn't get the names of the new people! Shoot!)
Hope to see everyone again soon! (Maybe next Friday?)

Hurray for write-ins! It was great to see some "new" faces (at least to me) at the write-in! Hopefully we can schedule one for next week as well. I hope everyone does well this month!

Hey All! I'm posting from Portland right now. I slept through the cursed four hour drive, but I did get a little writing done [in the car AND drinking coffee].
I went ot wordstock, which was kind of great and soul-crushing at the same time. I got to see a bunch of small publishers, self-published books and all these writers. But then listening to all the authors speak killed my spirit a bit as I thought about my novel and started to HATE it. x___X;
I have a bunch of nice pamplhets and even this free book with page layouts and all that stuff if any of you are interested in using lulu.com or something. :D My reward for finishing NaNo is publishing it and giving it to my parents.

There is a Starbucks across from Walmart....? That had pretty dang good tables as well as a little reading section. It'd look more like an invasion than it did in B&N Though.

[omg long post...]

If anyone wants to plan a Thank God Its Over Party I'm pretty sure the offer from Mandarr to use Silverdale Estate's clubhouse for a teensy bit.
