Well I've got the Aardvark covered already (alien aardvark comes across my party of explorers as they work there way through the alien artifact). No surpise there since I managed to get the Aardvark a talking part in my story last year!
Not sure of about flamenco dancers,
But Yarr, now I can do that!
And Tea-ninjas no...er wait a minute. Yes I can get ninjas or something very much like them (the alien speical forces could be look like ninjas) now how can I handle the tea angle...?

I have space pirates coming up around chapter 8, judging by my current pace, so the "Yarr!" shouldn't be a problem. I might struggle a little with the Aardvark as I'm set on a distant planet (or two of them) but I'll give it a good try.
Flamenco dancers are tempting. I shall have to give that some serious (or not so serious) thought ....

I haven't managed to shoehorn aardvarks into my story yet, but I did manage mutant geckos and random song lyrics as conversation - which provokes whole scenes as I try to make it unnoticeable.
Also featuring: my granny's sewing machine which I've just acquired (it's lovely!) which started as a bit part and has now taken over whole reams of plot!
oh, and I sent the characters who weren't co operating to Coventry - terrible pun but it amused me at the time.

Yes!
In the last two thousand words, I've managed to get space pirates, "Yarr, me hearties!" and an aardvark into my story, all without noticeable loss of pace or credibility (or so I like to tell myself). True, the aardvark is doing service as a pirate's parrot, but there are reasons for that :-)
Still got a few thousand words to squeeze the others in, although I suspect that the Tea-ninjas are a bit of a no go.
