Have fun with Dares and Challenges!
Word Wars
If you need a boost, challenge someone to Word Wars, which is a timed friendly competition usually between five and twenty minutes where participants try to write as many words in that span of time as they can. I will be writing on Saturday night and Sunday, and hope to challenge or be challenged to boost my word count! See you in the forums!

Or, you can post post a dare in the forums! I heard about this great idea from Amelia, who said that her group in Arkansas last year did this regularly. Basically, a group of writers dare each other to all include the same thing in your novel. Will it be a dancing monkey, a purple armadillo,
The big question around my household of course is: How many pieces of pie will my husband have to buy for people at the Topeka TGIO party if they incorporate a light gray '57 Chevy into their novels? He issued the challenge in the Topeka forums, and I have heard from several writers who have already introduced a '57 Chevy and are ready to hit 50K and collect their piece of pie!

Hahahaha. Okay. A light gray '57 Chevy, huh? Well, that could be a bit of a challenge for me, but I just might try it. I doubt however, that I would be able to collect my pie. *sigh* Make extra Oooooo sounds for me. I'll be thinking of you. And just because I'm still griping.....my stuff is supposed to have a halo. Okay. I'm trying to get motivated, and my spouse is heading off the happy land of his computer game for the next several hours and he won't be back to check on me. So, I'm going to play word wars all by my lonesome, although of course anyone is invited to join in.
So - here goes. I'm starting with the classic - see how much I can write in 20 minutes. I'm at 25,651 now. Ready....go.
