So, here it is...the tenth day.

Where are you? So far ahead you think you'll take the week off? Starting to sweat a bit as the deadline approaches at a run?
Crying because of how behind you are?

I'll be the first to say that I'm so very far behind.....but I'm not going to quit!!

I am so horribly behind I should be crying. But I am not going to quit, especially because I really like my story and I plan to continue it after November for sure.

*shakes fist at essays and work*

"Curse you essays! Curse you work! You've cut into my precious NaNoWriMo time! Cuuuuuuursssssse you!"

Hehe....if we are going to be cursing things...I feel that I should get my good say in against my bumps in the writing road...

College, who do you think you are?! Taking up my time like this, do you have no idea what month this is?? I don't care if it's the traditional time for midterms....can't you hold it back until December 1st?

And...really, family, you are capable of doing your own chores and making your own food. I know that deep down in there somewhere is a fully functioning human being that is capable of opening a can or something.

*sighs* Now that that's out....

College is evil this month in particular. It's like all the professors KNOW that it is NaNoWriMo, and all get together and plot saying "Let's assign them as many 8-10 page essays as possible, all of which are due in November! And to make it even worse for them, let's make the due dates consecutive, so that they will never reach their 50,000 word goal, and we shall be victorious in draining them of every drop of their creative noveling spirit!"

>.< Evil professors, why must you hate us so!?

I just put off things until like...4AM on the day that they're due =]
That works...sometimes *laughs*

I've got like...four essays due tuesday. And a big physics project.
What happened to my catch-up weekend?! *cries* >x<

Oh, I'm behind too.
I just started yesterday, way late in the game, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I am actually fairly ahead, which is good because I have a really stressful week, starting monday, and i'll be luck to get 3k out, let alone anything really worth while after my 30k. But don't worry, I hear all your pains. I did NaNo '05 and had A LOT of trouble then, and i was in high school then. Now I'm in college and sooo stressed and yet, farther then I was on my last nano. :) Just breath

I am so jealous. But I'm a last minute sprinter...AND (drum-roll please)...I figured out what has to happen next in my novel...

I know, I know, only exciting for me but I've been stuck for like three days so I'm semi-giddy that anything at all is coming out...

The lesson?

When in doubt, peruse your previously presumed dead characters for a possible resurrection (or in my case...no one actually SAID he was dead...hmmm...philosophy question for the ages...if a fictional character dies but the death is not narrated...is the fictional character dead? Hmmm? Think about it...)

Oh God, I'm tired...

I actually feel behind, probably since I already took a week off. xP I know it was bad of myself to do, but gosh! I feel WAY behind, even though technically I'm about on track. But the week off made me a bit nervous...and still am.

Okay, here is my update for today. I burned the midnight oil so to speak and kicked it up to just over 24,000 Of course I'be behind on everyting else in life but I'm hanging in there!!! Don't give up folks.
I just cut back on the editing, and the count shot up pretty quickly.
Okay I did go over it with a spell checker before posting it. I
couldn't get past that. I'll have to straighten out a plot problem later, and a big hole in the story line, but I'm following Sara Gruen's advice and jumping to the fun stuff and stopping when it is not fun. It helps for quick gains.

I'm fairly caught up, I just have a hard time uploading to the counter because my connection is slow. Just so you know, I'm elle, and I'm officially inviting anyone in the fresno, clovis area to a drop-in at the Indigo.
