OK, gang, when we agreed to compete with one another, I imagined much more taunting. If this thread words, it's going to appear in all 3 regions.

Let the taunting begin!

BTW: Hamilton is kicking both of your butts, Calgary and Delaware! We have a four amazing writers who are all closing in on 50K, and I know that at least 2 of them are planning on going far beyond that. One of them is my co-ML, Welestra, who is working on 3 novels. She writes 1667 words on each of them. Each day. She is our secret weapon! OK, not so secret now, because I told you about it.

this is a test, to see if I can get it to show up in all the regions.

Edit: I'm in Calgary now, and yes, it shows.

Let the taunting continue!

Someone at our last write-in suggested exactly that: that you Delawarians (?) were sitting in the bushes and were going to suddenly post a whole lot of words.

So, maybe we're doing that, too. Maybe we've got ten writers who are sitting on 20K each that they haven't posted yet. Maybe . . .

OK, we don't as far as I know, but we COULD have!

It occurs to me that I could contribute more to this challenge if I would open my Word document and get typing.

Bye! *dashes out*

click on Edit Profile, which is up in the top right corner of the page, scroll down to word count, and either enter it there OR cut and paste your story into the validation box, which is right under the word count. But for right now, just getting your WC up is good enough <3

Aaaaaaah! I knew you had aces up your sleeve! How many more people do you have in Delaware who haven't posted a word count yet?!?

Seriously, congrats, joanjunkmail! That's really good: 18K in 11 days! You're ahead of me.

But not for long! Bwahaha!

thanks for the props, gale - i know you'll get there, too. two solid days of writing and i went from 8700 to nearly 18,700! feels good, but i'm rather cranky and (hilariously) SORE! this really is a 50K, isn't it?

It is indeed a 50K... I'm certainly feeling the tired wrist and hand muscles. Good news is tomorrow is Veteran's Day, which is the only 'extra' holiday that I grab as my own, so I get to stay home and type type type!

And yick but my 21K words doesn't feel right, feels like I just have SO much more written by now, but I just can't get anything out. Im at that point where I want to scrap the whole darned thing and start over... maybe on the 1st? *laughs*

Just keep writing, we'll all get there together right?

Speaking of 50k, guess who just hit it? Ziggie! Oh, and what region is she in? Hmm? Oh yeah, HAMILTON!!! Go Ziggie, you're insano. We're gonna party like you're insano. Bow before the Ziggmeister! She gives Hamilton the super-powered word count.

Oh, noes! You have a holiday?!?

Our kids are off school tomorrow, so the high school students are having an on-line write-athon. I thought we would surge ahead. But most of the adults have to work.

BTW, "tundra"? Tundra? There is no tundra in Hamilton! We are directly north of New York State. Oh, maybe you were referring to the tundra in New York? *laughs manaically*

I will grant you the "gale force wind". It's been said before. I try to only use my powers for good, though. *smiles*

I had to work all weekend, but handwrote a steno notebook full, in between having to deal with people. Dealing with a bad left arm, but I am home all day tomorrow and will type the entire day.

AND...

When I finish all that, I will write more.

Hamilton will hammer down the competition.

Hamilton Rules!

Way to go Ziko!!!

And no, we don't ALL have a holiday tomorrow, just me. And I plan of banging out a lot of words tomorrow, between being off from classes and then our write-in tomorrow night!

As for tundra, it feels like tundra here right now! *shivers* where'd all my warm weather go? *pouts*

ANOTHER ace up your sleeve, Delaware?!?

*faints.*

Seriously, congrats, Ziko! That's a stupendous accomplishment in just 11 days! Are you like our Ziggi, in that you have your sights set on 100K, or are you done now?

Yeah, that's my problem, too. I'm too nice a person to lead a really hard-core challenge. I just want to cheer for everyone! I was browsing through your forum and wanted to post some help for the person who stalled at 10K. I still might.

Go, Hamilton! Go, Delaware! Go, Calgary!

Where IS Calgary, by the way? (Yeah, yeah, I know: in Alberta, south of Edmonton). I mean, have they joined the friendly taunting thread yet? Oh, well.

Go, Hamilton! Go, Delaware! Go, Calgary!

Go, go, go, Hamilton!

Also cheering on the competition, for 2 reasons:

1. Everyone here is a winner just by participating, and

2. If the challengers do really, really, really well, we'll look that much better when we defeat them.

hehehe (wringing her hands in a villainous manner)

pulling out all stops now

Go Hamilton! Come on, you Delawarians are talking tough, but the progress meter is showing another story! ;)

I got some writing done on the bus today, (crowded bus, even - it didn't show up until half an hour late.) So I'm within a tiny word war or so of 25k! I may not be one of you 50k-in-a-week loonies, but I am still a mighty train engine of writing power not to be denied!!

Wow a fighting squirrel, why didn't we think of that? (Knows why, is just being polite because everyone knows that Canadians are oh so polite; we're polite and we're prolific writers.)

Two against one... I think you will need two to defeat us.

C'mon Hamilton!
