YEEHAH! I haven't written as many words as usual today, but at least I've broken the 30,000 word barrier.

I wish wish wish the author search allowed us to check the scores in order. Ah well, maybe it's still coming. At least the search facility is back. Please, any of you who pass the various significant checkpoint, let us know. And for the purpose of this thread, let's hear from all of you as you pass 30,000. I'm not the first. TB Woods passed it a couple of days ago. TB? Stand up like a man and be counted.

Any others?

SAShirl going to bed perchance NOT to dream. I need a break from my story!

Congrats to SAShirl and TB Wood. Wow, PE is forging ahead. The Grahamstown frontrunners have just moved into 20K, but we will get there soon.

Anyone know who is the furthest ahead?

You're a bit ahead of me. For now. I didn't work on the novel at all last night. I was so inspired by the talk on South AFrican poetry that I wrote a poem instead. Hm, wonder if I can make my character write poetry - that way any poems I write in November will count. He he.

I will be back at the book tonight, so watch out.

Is this a threat?

Man, I've just crawled past TB Woods . . . who hasn't posted today so will probably leave me in the dust this evening. And now you're getting cheeky. :-0

Don't make me do this.

Please don't make me do this. . .. sniff. I'm so tired . . . .

LOL! Glad the poetry was good. And if you make your character write poetry it has to be NEW STUFF OKAY????? No copy/paste cheats allowed here.

Hiya SA Shirl -

I passed the 30,000 milestone on Sunday - celebrated by doing a quiet little jig around the room on my own - much to the disdain of my cat!

I'm adding you to my buddy list - hope okay with you - to at least be able to keep track of some of the South African Nanoers.

Getting very frustrated with the lack of search capabilities on the new 'improved' website - sigh - I hope this isn't the beginning of the decline of Nano!! (Ignore last sentence - feeling very negative today :( tomorrow sure to be better!)

See ya on the boards,
KS

Great stuff. Do you live in Gordon's Bay? I spotted someone from there in the 30,000s. I only found three of us. The G.B. lady who is probably you, and TB Wood and I in PE.

You're a way ahead of me still, but I'm a cummin'!!!

And I've just used my little eyes and read . . . you ARE from G.B. Yeah. So there isn't another one racing ahead that we know of. :-)

No, it's not the beginning of the decline. They've done a massive UPgrade this time. It's just like so many upgrades . . .sigh. Down first. I'll add you to my buddy list too. I do find it frustrating that you can only have 11 visible. The rest are behind the scenes though.

See you on line.

YIKES! Cheer me on, shout me down, pelt me with rotten tomatoes, but please please don't worship me! I have enough problems without the Lord getting mad with me!!!

:-) Race well you guys. Gazelle, give Moonblue a good run for her money. Money??? Well, whatever. :-)

Woohoo! I made it to 30 000 words last night.

I'm still quite a bit behind but I have now finally decided to just skip the difficult parts and go with the ones that are easy to write. Now it suddenly feels like the beginning of NaNo again.

I should have listened to the advice ages ago.

Have a great time everyone!

*raises hand*

Present and accounted for. I am slowly catching back up on wordcount. I'll be excited about it tomorrow, for now I just want to catch an hour nap before the craziness of Sunday catches up to me and forces me out of the house >.<
