Heeeeeeey everybody! (Hiiiii Doctor Nick!)

Thanks again to everyone that made the write-in at the cafe last night! There was a mass of laughing, as per usual, and some new faces in the crowd. How much writing actually got done? Well, I'm not sure. I managed to write a paragraph or two at least ;-)

NOW... the details for the next write-in! Huzzah!

This time it will NOT be on a Wednesday! This is so people that couldn't make the Wed write-ins can make it to a couple of these ones ;-)

DATE: THURSDAY 22 November
WHERE: AFK Cafe, Woolloongabba
MAP: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=l&hl=en&geocode=&time=&date=&ttype=&q=a...

TIME: 6pm - onwards (usually finishes at 9pm-10pm)
WHAT TO BRING: laptop/note book and pen/stone tablets and chisel... etc
WHAT IS PROVIDED: Free Wi-Fi internet, pizza, tentacles and loads of laughs. This week it is BYO eskimo chickens and epiphinipples. Sorry for the inconvenience ;-)

EXTRA NOTES:
Available: Computers (if you don't have your own) and FREE Wi-Fi internet!!
Food: They have a kick ass menu at AFK. Check it out here: http://www.afkcafe.com/coffeefood.html

If there is a big enough outcry for a Thursday meet - it will be changed back to Wednesday. Keep an eye out on the REGIONAL CALENDAR in the main area of the Brisbane forums (just scroll to the bottom ... it will be a red hyperlink saying 'Write-In #3' :-D

Hope to see you guys there!!

How about a weekend write-in some time? Us students from the bogan areas have trouble making it in on weekdays, y'know :-( I keep missing in-jokes!

I'd like to go, but don't want to be stuck in the city at that time. Any chance of it starting earlier (and are there any people who can actually show up earlier?)?

I can't say for sure but I'm pretty certain I'll be able to make it! Our family is down in Brisbane at for a short period of time... And if I can't make 6 I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get there a little later. Considering it is a pretty jam packed holiday it might be one of very little chances to write... So yus, looking forward to it if it isn't moved to a different date/time!

I show up at 5 but most of us are rushing there after work.

Feel free to come earlier - I'm sure some people will be able to turn up then :-)

Peter (Zaniak) is organizing the weekend stuff. It kind of ends up as a mix of social/write-in at these anyway so the social meets on the weekends would no doubt be the same :-)

I should be able to make it on Thursday. Except that Thursday the 22nd, I have this horrendous training day that I have to do which will probably leave me all grumpy -- but on the plus side, I should be on the road by 5pm so yay! :-)

I will do my bestest to be there! :-)

I am so sorry guys, but I won't be able to make it this week.
It's been a blast the past two times, but I am going away for three days to Stanthorp with my husband. We've been married for four years and this is the closest we've ever had to a honeymoon.
Of course, I will be taking the laptop with me so I don't drop on my word count. I have priorities, you know.

Hugs to all of you, and shout Ephiphinipple for me once or twice.

(For those who aren't sure who I am, I have the white streaks in my hair and... an unhealthy fondness for were-wolves.)

By the way, Yanikei and Aikanaro, you aren't allowed to bitch about not being at the write in if you have more than 40,000 words!
Obviously you are doing something right!
How the hell have you managed to do so much so soon?

Wahey, someone replied for me! Yeah. It was late, I was tired, and I hit six instead of three >_>. I've already filed for help, though. I'm not a cheat! *cower*

Mater Hill is the best busstop I think. If heading inbound, you go up the small flight of steps to the Coffee Club, turn right, then keep walking past that, past Subway and the pancake place, and around the corner. You will pass a bookstore and a couple of other cafes. Keep going until you see the yellow umbrellas, smell the scent of desperation and writer sweat, and hear the tap-tap-tap of fingers on keyboards.
That's how you know you are there.

Eh, generally around 6 I think. People will probably dribble in from 5:30ish is my guess. I might get there a bit earlier myself to get some writing done. Granted I don't have a laptop but it's as good a place as any to write, I don't have the distractions of home. Plus I can drink tea! TEEHEE!

Well, I hope to make it to this one, despite the fact that my word count is lagging... ;-)

If all goes according to plan I should get there around 5:00 to 5:30 -- if the nassssty away-day waste-of-time thingy I have to go to tomorrow finishes on time! I shall probably leave around 9-ish, depending on how my word count is looking, because I once again have a zero-word Friday planned, and only one more weekend to play catch-up! :-)

See y'all there!

Unfortunately my supervisor isn't here today so chances are I'll be staying back at work late *sighs*
Have fun, guys!

Don't be afraid to go up to the manager and tell him you're here for the 'writers group' with NaNoWriMo. He'll know what you're talking about and set up the tables ready for everyone :-)
