Whee! funness! And hedgehogs seemed to be the theme of the day. Nice bunch today at both events, the usual suspects plus a few more. :) Will upload what few pics I remembered to snap later.

and wow, I didn't realize the Forum was so far up there!! hehe.

Also? We have our first 2 winners! Tiffany hit 50k during the write in this morning (Must not press delete!)
Then Annie this evening shortly before the write in!
Congrats you both, that's utterly amazing!! (Really. I only give you a hard time and throw things at you out of envy!)

Remember, this Friday (the 23rd) at 2pm, Write in at Dunn Brothers ( 8806 Bandera Road, Suite 101 is the directions for those who want to map it). We'll be there, well.. A while, at least. Personally, I'm thinking 15 minute wars, 5 minute breaks, and not leaving till I have at least 2k done.

So, this next week.. Chili's at Northwoods (281/1604) Sunday night at 7, right?
(and of course our usual spot at the back left of the Barnes and Nobles at I10/De Zavala at 9am. Anyone else hanging out in the starbux instead?)

For the Thank Goodness It's Over (TGIO) party, let's go to Chachos, I10 and Callaghan. They have these huge things of nachos that are INSANE. Seriously, sounds like fun to me! This is going to be the first Sunday in December (December 2nd). Hopefully more of us will be celebrating our success, but if not, we can bemoan our failures and make a vow to do better next year!

And yes, it IS that close to the end of the month!
Time to start panicking yet?

lol Chachos does have hugs plates of nachos. And they're really not that bad.

Again, I'll hope to make it, but I can't guarantee anything. :(

I can make both Sunday events, I should be able to. Chachos, as I mentioned, is right around here.

<--*is envious of the (relatively) close proximity to the great nachos and margaritas to be had at Chachos*

Shit I just started to cry. lol I'm SO behind! Plus, I'll miss all of y'all! :)

Oh, lol how funny about Chachos. I went there on Sunday after the morning Write-In.

Tomorrow I have to go to school even though we're going to be doing NOTHING and NO ONE will be there. Damn.

The bouncy-ball is in a place of honor on my shelf. :P

(after I had to wrestle it away from my brother, as expected!)

it is a decently smal coffee show with very very very comfy chairs, so it is likely that the group od people with laptops and danas (as far as i know itll be me with the laptop, jami and i think lacey with a dana) will be alternating between writing and giggling and marveling at our brilliance. at least thats how it normally works. though i think jami wants more writing less self worshiping and giggling this time. we shall see. but i suppose we could make a sigh. or i could birng the rabid weasel sign :)

We should be the only group at Dunn Brothers surrounding an oddly uncomfortable, candy-eating, plastic purple pumpkin. Jami brings it with her to all of the meetings.

I am all for Chacho's. And I will be at Dunn Bros on Friday (for sure this time; my parents are driving me there). I'll talk to my roommate about the TGIO party...

Man. I can't believe it's almost over already. o.o We were at the beginning of the month only yesterday!

Afraid I will not be able to make it today. My muse is holding me captive here at the house. See I already finished my story and am 9k short. My muse gave me the idea yesterday to thread another character through out. I have been doing this all morning and it is working well. Unfortunately, my alpha doesn't fit this project well. I need my desktop for it. So, y'all have fun. I hope Thanksgiving went well and I will see you all Sunday.

My heart just crumbled into itself. I'm so screwed. But eh, I understand.

I'll just bring my laptop for the write-in; I think I've written a lot on my Alpha, but I'm still not past the first day on my novel. :)

Awwwwww -- I understand about the muse running away with you, but we will miss you. I hope that you hit the word count. :) See you Sunday.

Alas. I'm going to have to pass on Chili's. This paper on explaining how graphic novels like The Sandman have the merit to be considered a branch of 20th Century literature is trying my patience. Add to the mix that I still have a commentary article to write for The Rattler, and I have an internal "No Going Out Tonight" order. Blargh.

At least I'm ahead/on word count schedule. >.> Even if my counter doesn't show it.

Hey for those as directionally challenged as I, the actual location of Chili's is at Henderson pass and 281. I'm not sure if the Chili's sign is visible from 1604 or not. It is across 281 from Red Lobster.
