Every year, post NaNo, we have a celebration of our accomplishments known as the Thank God It's Over party.
Last year, or the year before, it was held at The Claddagh at Westfield Franklin Park on a Saturday. It's a lovely place and they gave us our own room, which was probably more to protect the other customers from us than anything else. ;-)
I still think a restaurant is a great idea....My suggestion would be to pick a date early in December before everyone starts wading through holiday plans and parties and shopping and baking and cooking and, and, and....
So....December First, noonish.....December Eighth, noonish.....
Taking suggestions for locations....and we will make a final decision before the end of November.....
CHEERS!

Hey Gang, Dec 8th works better for me.
But I might be back from New York on Dec 1st in the evening.
I won't be able to make 12:30, because it's like a 9 hour drive back from New York. But don't let me stop you. If you can make it for the evening or for the 8th I'll be there with bells on... well, maybe not bells.
Good luck everyone!

Hello, mates! Sorry to be scarce. I feel like I've been saying that A LOT lately!!
Okay....so it seems like December 8 is agreeable to just about everyone....I'm leaning toward an early afternoon time (can make it 1 instead of 12:30...or we can plan on 12:30 and just get there when you can....1 might be better as the "lunch rush" will be tapering off wherever we happen to meet).
I am in the home stretch of a massive editing project so the next 48 hours are going to be busy for me....and then I might still have time on, oh, maybe FRIDAY to up my word count a little more....50K is looking like World's End at this point but things have been known to change. :-)

Sounds good! However, it IS the day before my due date, so if Adam and I are not there you'll know why ;-)

Just got a reminder of something else I have on the 8th, but if we go for a lunch at 12:30 or 1 and I can duck out by 2 or so, I think I can get both in.

Thanks....will give it a shot. With the editing project I keep slogging along and thinking "there's gotta be an easier way to do this" but until it occurs to me, I'll continue with my low-tech method. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS FELLOW NANOWRIMO WRITERS!!!!! KEEP WRITING UNTIL MIDNIGHT!
If you can finish it, GREAT!!! Just do the best.
Even if you wrote thousand words, you are a winner in my mind.
Confucius quote,"Journey of a thousand miles (or 50,000 words) starts with the first step (or word)"
I am grateful for this forum and the movement. It helped me and motivated me to do my writings.
Fellowships are great too!
I couldn't have finished four books without the Nanowrimo in the last 13 months and without you all.
Thanks a million to each one of you. Best regards and
hope to see some of you next Saturday Dec 8 at Chaddagh??Franklin Mall
