I just thought that it would be a good idea to have a Kansas elsewhere shout-out thread for those of us when we cross that 50,000 word mark!

So, those of you, post if you like!

I hit 50k and some change at about 11:45 last night and then promptly collapsed into a snoring heap before 3 am for the first time in a week.

Of course, since I'm only about halfway through the story I can't really say I've finished yet, but I hit the November target.

Now to get back to that pack of wolves who want to eat my poor frazzled history professor...

Well, I have the bones down and hit the Nov. 50000 goal. After the holidays I can face putting in the missing descriptions, correct the errors, and wonder what the heck I was thinking when I put this character in this plot line.

Meanwhile, I've had fun making all my new friends here on the site and in the surrounding area. You guys rock! --Mama Q

I crossed the finish line this morning. 50,158, and the story is actually finished! Whoo hoo!

Me me me me me me me me me!

I scribbled quite a bit in a notebook during my quiet time at work, and when I'd finished typing, I was only about 700 words away from 50K, so I just kept going for another half hour or so! The story is nowhere near finished, so I'll keep working at it, just not nearly as frantically, or as typingly (I compose better with pen and paper).

Hooray!

(Now, where did I put that life I was using?)

I reached 50,000 words, but only to realize that my story is far from done. If I'm lucky I MIGHT have this story completed after another 100,000 words. Oh, well. At least I didn't fail for the third year in a row this year.

even though I didn't hit my goal after all that happened to me this year...I am glad I made it to 50K
