So, what do you do with your NaNo novel once you have revised, edited and polished it so the little gem sparkles and shines like a true jewel? How do you get it into the right hands to have it published?

You might want to check out this event here in Calgary on Tuesday night:

The Writers Guild of Alberta and Pages Books Presents:

How to Find a Publisher for Your Book

Tuesday, November 27, 2007, 7:00 pm, Pages Books on Kensington, 1135 Kensington Rd NW, WGA members and students free, non-members $5 (cash only at the door)

Melanie Little (Freehand Books), Suzette Mayr (NeWest Collective), Don Gorman (Rocky Mountain Books/the Heritage Group) and Lyn Cadence (Fifth House Publishers) will discuss what is involved in getting your book into the hands of the right publisher. Questions about what publishers are looking for, what makes a great proposal, the role of agents and the realm of promotion and marketing will be addressed

I wouldn't mind going to that, it sounds informative. Anyone else planning on showing up? I wonder if I can get through on my old student ID. Bwahaha. Where do you live again Cabby?

I've been going back and forth about this all day, but I think I'm goona go. For years now, my biggest reason I haven't tried to be published is cause I don't know how to go about it. As scary as it is to lose that excuse, I guess now's as good a time as any to start finding out.
