I did it! I reached 50K! I doubt that I will finish my actual story this week, but 50 000 words is all the matters right now!
I have been discouraged with the story itself all weekend. Maybe this will give me the feel good boost I need to keep going, whether it takes this week or longer to finish the book.

I did it. I won.
The only reason it got done today is that I came home from work sick. After sleeping all afternoon I was able to squeeze out the last few needed words. Now it's Neo-Citran time and to bed with me. Celebration less sweet when existing inside a flu-addled body. Sigh. But will feel better by the TGIO party, I'm sure!

I just pulled off the win. And actually, the ending came at, what, 50,300 words, I think? Really close to the line. ( I kinda like it. )
Anyway, I gotta say, I kinda feel like a cocky, saucy monkey right now.
also i've been listening to monkey magic on endless loop for the past hour or so
