On a more serious note, if you live even remotely near Olympia (Matllock... Shelton...Bremerton...Puyallup, I'm looking at you!) and might be affiliated but have NOT set Olympia as your "home region," PLEASE do so!
Owning up to semi-selfish reasons: we are in a serious WordWar with Salem, OR. Last year they barely eeked out a win, and we haven't heard the end of it since! This year we have been way ahead all month but it looks like they're pulling out some dirty tricks here at the end.
Currently we are less than 5K ahead of them. Anyone who affiliates with Olympia--and makes us their "home region"--will have their words added to our total, and to our Victory!
This year's theme is "The Hubcap of Shame." We're getting it all polished up to send down to them on December 1st when we claim victory.
So stand with your home state! Recognize that our capital is gloriously superior to theirs! Don't tolerate their snark! and GOOD LUCK with your writing heading into week 4!
