Well, we're almost at the end. Some of you have already finished and I expect a lot more to pass the finish line over the next day and a bit.
So what are you doing after NaNo? All of us will have plenty more time in our already hectic lives so what have you got lined up? Are you chilling out? Are you moving on to other projects, or are you finishing your novel?
Tell us.

I have a number of things I'm going to do after NaNoWriMo, some short term, others a bit longer term.
Short term, I am going to be adding 'Member Excerpts' to KiwiWriters with the help of the others in the KW committee (KerrynAngell, Cottreau and Vyll). We also have many other writing challenges planned throughout the year so check it out when you can (especially if you don't want the excitement of writing to die down once NaNo is over.
There are a few other more personal projects - mainly websites - which are in need of my attention. And I shall certainly be posting more blog entries over the coming weeks. I might even do x365 this year like I said I would last year :-)
Longer term, I have found out that ScriptFrenzy will be April next year instead of June which is awesome. That means I can do that in April and still do SoCNoC in June, as well as all the short story weekends planned over the coming year. At the moment, it looks like I'll also be ML for Wellington for ScriptFrenzy too which will be pretty cool.
Oh, and I have lots of housework to do. Yay, what fun (NOT). Phew!

I feel like I owe it to myself to see this trough to the bitter end, so the next step is editing/rewriting to see whether it is worth taking further...
At the moment I'm just glad to have crossed the 50k mark - much better than the measly 6k of last year!

I'm going to not write nor think for a while.
But then I'm going to try and complete this thing, keep writing freefall-style and see if it ends. Then I'm going to restructure it and rewrite it and see if I can't make a real story out of it. Then I'll obviously publish it, become rich and famous and never work again ever.
I'll also turn my attention to KiwiWriters and participate in the ongoing challenges, as well as set my sights to SoCNoC '08.

He he, you asked andy...
(1) Finish Freeing the Flame, NaNovel.
I reached 50,208 words but I have not finished the story. But I am close!
I'm NOT going to write again until at least the 3rd of December. I am going to put what I've currently got into the new version of yWriter, yWriter 4 beta and pick up all the loose ends I need to tie up in The End. Once I've done that I will keep writing at a pace of between 1000-2000 words a day until I finish, approximately another 10,000 words I *think*.
(2) Have a summer/Christmas holiday.
I am not going to write another novel until SoCNoC in June! The rest of December and January will be spent reading and relaxing and studying writing. I may write a short story since I had a Christmas idea strike me last week.
(3) Edit Freeing the Flame
Having let it sit for one and a bit months I'm going to start editing in February and hopefully finish editing in March (NaNoEdMo) or April.
(4) Challenges at Kiwi Writers
I want to participate in the short story challenges early in the year, while editing, and get some more of my work edited, polished and out there.
(5) Submit Freeing the Flame
(6) SoCNoC!
And that'll do... for now... mwah ha ha haaaa. (Yes, I'm still buzzed about hitting 50K)

I think I might do the dishes. Or perhaps clean the toilet. My family's ready for those things to happen, by now.

My after-Nano list:
* Keep up the discipline of writing something every day!
* Rewrite my story to make it into a wonderful birthday gift to my best friend when I visit her in Australia in April 2008.
* Work on a few other story ideas I've had.
* Play a lot more Guitar Hero III with my spare time.
* Find a new home for a 2 year old cat. Anyone in Chch want a kitty? =)

I HAVE to finish critiquing gay-belle's SoCNoC novel before Christmas.
gay-belle, I haven't forgotten... much! It will be my Christmas present to you. :)

I will be finishing this novel in December. I think I have about 25k left to go or so, must finish the 3rd gospel, another modern segment and another, last gospel which will end the novel.
Then comes the editing, which I am quite looking forward to, although I think it will be quite difficult, since there are so many characters and pieces to think about while editing.
I don't know the the pace I'll be set for December, but it will be a lot smaller I think. But, I will sit down and write every day, just nowhere near the nano pace.
Then, I'm looking forward to writing something that isn't scriptural. :)

Oh - and I certainly want to publish on Lulu when it's done...
Depending on how the editing goes, I might well do editing for other of my novels. I have been thinking about last year's Nano lately actually.

Hmmmmm, I'm going to play Magic until my head implodes, since I now have time to play it mostly guilt-free. And I'm going to continue with my sadly neglected studies. Then, when I've recovered from the insanity that was NaNo, I might finish my novel and edit it.

Busy, busy people. :) Let's see.
Keep annoying people on the kiwiwriters forums with idle chatter. Been great company for me this year while stuck at home.
Continue with challenges offered, and gear up for Socnoc in June, maybe have a go at scriptfrenzy in April.
Nano2007 doesn't need too much editing, have been going through it, checking spelling and punctuation, then send a copy off to the characters in it who were my drama student pals last year. Not for publishing, just a light tale written for them.
Brain is in full scheme to have a go at writing a half hour drama script for TV, to be entered before February 1st, 2008.
Write a suitable script for a friend performing drama in schools, before the start of schools next year.
Considering applying for a course in Journalism at Polytechnic next year.
Don't intend to do a lot over Christmas and New Year, with husband home for holidays causing interruption, and taking me away from the computer, and having a life. Will start painting the exterior of the house and then maybe the interior.
I think that's enough to go on with. :)

Lounging about at school, lounging about at home, and going on holiday.
Oh, and I might try and finish this novel some time when I DON'T have to study my ass off.
