Told Loki yesterday that I woke up Saturday (hungover) thinking- what do I do now? I dont need to madly write and novel in the spare moments, I can... just.. do... um...

So now what for you?

I know I want to finish the novel itself (havent written "The End... with chocolate.), but I want to get it done before Dec 14th, my last day here at work. want to print it off, double-sided, while I can use their awesome laser printers.. and then tkgrrrl is gonna bind it for me. YAY.

And then? Dont know. I mean, creative writing wise. that whole COW thing might be a goer.

So, creative writing wise. Post-nano.. what are your plans?

As little as possible for December.

Although I'm already itching to work on something new, I can't actually think of anything I like yet. So I'm just bouncing around ideas, determined to finish my *second* novel!

December is just too busy a time of year. I need a break from all that writing (which those of you who wrote far more than 50k may scoff at) to lie about and read for a bit. I have a stack of books to get through. I'd hope to get to writing the last third of my story in the new year.

Hell no. As far as I'm concerned, December is sooo not a writing month.

Edit: Nor can I type in December, apparently.

lol - nope. No writing challenges in December. With the exception of novel in 90 on LJ - but that's a 90 day challenge for something like 67ish k.
XD
As for COW?
Yes - I plan on doing that and once I get hold of StrawPony again I'd like to discuss some things. The forums are close to ready to go for it :)
I just need to create more layouts and banners etc.
And I need a month for us to do it in :/
lol
I will definitely be doing COW though as well as novel in 90.
I hope to complete several works next year. :)

Oh yeah, that's right! I'll be getting online as soon as these dastardly deadlines are done with... *procrastinates on doing his project outline resubmission the day it's due...duuuuh*

Novel in 90 sounds scary and not for me :D Right now I'm going back and editing what little I've done of my novel thus far. There was half a chapter that needed rewriting and several thousand words of author's notes to add just so I'd be up to date! That should take me up to my scheduled Christmas break, after which it's tally ho and on we go to finishing the novel from there!

In short, I'd hate to break momentum.

I've decided that my 'now what?' is going to be learning how to write short stories, and producing as many of them as I can, since the idea of a short story is a completely alien concept to me. Should be interesting.

lol StrawPony! :) Awesome. I totally understand the not wanting to break momentum. At the moment though I'm on a post NaNo high and now the train of inspiration (quite a large train I'd like to add) has come barrelling down the tracks at me. *headdesk*
I'm going to re-write pretty much all that I wrote for NaNo. There were a lot of really good bits - but there are also a lot that I don't want.
Novel in 90 is fun actually. They're off season at the moment anyway :/ the 90 doesn't begin until January 1st.
:)

Good luck! :) I've tried this myself and for me it was a massive struggle to keep things working. I have a handful of short stories now - only one of them am I actually proud of.

Good luck to you both! :)

p.s. I'm actually contemplating taking part in script frenzy :/ which is a little scary. I have never attempted to write a script before - but I know when I was going through school I always found scripts to be the hardest thing to read!

Haha, I find the contrast so stark I just had to mention it:

Script frenzy is very tempting! Because most of my previous major projects were in graphic novel/film format, the only kind of extended fiction I've written was in fact in script format. Also, all my previous fictions I've actually written and completed were short stories.

liek, lol.

Actually, right now I'm trying to rewrite a chapter without throwing the thematic focus out of whack. It hard <:(
