I had so much fun writing NaNoWriMo this year. It was really awesome to challenge myself creatively for 30 days.
So, being my weird self, I decided to invent a new extreme writer's challenge.
MONANOWRIMO!
What is MoNaNoWriMo, you ask? It stands for Monthly National Novel Writing Month. In this intense challenge, NaNo is spread out through the entire year.
You can challenge yourself every month, to increase your creativity and list of novels to send to publishers, or if you can't finish one month, you can try next month!
I personally believe this is a good idea because if you fail in November, you don't have to wait all year to challenge yourself again.
I'm not saying the site should stay open all year, but it's just an idea for you people.
I'm already 2k into my December novel! xD

Hey, I think that's a really good idea! I want to try that sometime, maybe not every month, but...maybe every other month. I'm afraid if I do this a lot my friends and family will kill me XD
Anyway, good luck on your December novel!

Mmmmmm, maybe just the months with 30 days, I think a person has to do revision and edit eventually.

I'm planning on doing it too, all next year. I would have carried on the NaNo spirit from November, but I decided to do NaNoFiMo before I did. Well, that and it's a scary thought to write 50,000 words every month for a year so I wanted to cobble together something that resembles a plot - sadly I can't think of a decent plot to cobble together that I'll stick ti for more than a couple of days of planning.

*raises hand* May I suggest a website that's helpful for this kind of thing? Actually, they do do NaNoWriMo every month of the year, if you like. It's called To Boldly NaNo, more commonly TBN. They have prompts and stuff too. And a great community. You can find it here: http://toboldlynano.com/blog1/

I might be interested in this... I'm trying to do JaNoWriMo at the moment, this time not in my mother tongue (Swedish) but in English. I find it rather pleasant to challenge myself with these little things, and if they get me anywhere until next November, I'll be happy. I'm trying! =)

Hello! Me and 7 or so of my friends and several people from this site are going to do a February Nanowrimo. We're using the Nanocomo forums to do it at http://www.nanocomo.org and it should be great! We're starting February 1st and (most of us at least) are going for the 50k =) We'd love more people to join us! We're under the USA topic in the main forum under the thread of Maine.

Not the best idea!
NanoWrimo was set up to push writers to do their work because they usuallyslack off most of them.
IF you do it all year round people won't be bothered to work furiously because they have to much time.

I'm at NaNoPubYe. We've just started our MayNoWriMo, and I'm taking advantage of it to completely rewrite my '06 NaNo novel now called Black Science while continuing to edit '07 novel Bad Company in the hopes of finishing a coherent second draft.
